Three Perthshire Tea Gardens
From Seed to Cup — Over a Decade of Experience
We didn’t come to tea by accident.
Between us, we’ve spent over a decade growing, making, and living it — from first planting to final pour.
We are Pinkie, Catherine, Ronnie and Mr Wadga (a rescue red squirrel who stole our hearts) - we’re also great friends, which helps.
Second careers, shared curiosity, and an ongoing habit of long conversations over good tea.
The Real Stories Behind the Cup
The global tea trade may be vast, but in reality it’s a close-knit world.
To remain in it — and more importantly, to flourish — requires a genuine love of the craft, the land, and the people behind it.
We invite you to look a little deeper.
Scottishtea.co.uk sells our estate-grown 100% Scottish tea directly, while establishing a clear benchmark for Scottish-grown tea - to go beyond the label and into the real stories behind the tea you’re drinking, our ‘Growers Choice’ teas are what we love to drink - from interesting small producers around the world.
Tea, As It Was Meant to Be
Our approach is simple:
No additives
No shortcuts
No marketing theatre
Just careful, low-intervention methods that respect tradition, sustainability, and terroir.
Tea, in its truest form, is an expression of place — shaped by climate, soil, and the hands that produce it. That connection has largely been lost in modern industrial production.
We’re interested in bringing it back.
From Scotland to the Wider Tea World
Our experiences stretch from home here in Scotland to some of the world’s most revered tea regions:
The Nilgiri Hills of India
Sri Lanka’s historic estates
China
Japan
Laos
Ancient tea garden in Northern Thailand
Georgia (ex Soviet)
And emerging gardens much closer to home
Across all of them, one thing remains constant:
At its best, tea is not a commodity.
It is a living, cultural craft.
